Ran out of Cheesecake!
Well, we have “guests” over today, unfortunately, we made the mistake of telling them about your vegan baking – they were very intrigued…. and then we told them that you had baked a blueberry cheesecake for us – and that we had some left over! They were standing on their feet, rubbing their hands together, shouting excitedly…. “Let’s Try It!”
So we took out the cake tin and would you believe it – the whole cake was gone in a matter of minutes – not a crumb left!
Whilst this is good news for you….. we are devastated….. what on earth am I going to eat tomorrow afternoon with my cup of tea?
Nothing but crumbs left...

Actually – the “not a crumb left!” quote is a bit inaccurate considering there is a photo of a plate with crumbs on it! This is how the conversation went:
Me: Hi everyone, come in, come in…..
Guests: Great to see you …. Mmmm what’s that smell? Have YOU been baking…?
Me: Actually, well, yes and no, I have a friend here at the moment – well a client actually – he’s created a vegan cake book…. there are some terrific vegan recipes in there. Have you ever tried a vegan cake? Hmmmm let me see, well. Here is one I made earlier (laughs all round). Would you like to try some?
Guests: wow – that looks amazing what is it?
Me: It’s a vegan blueberry cheesecake! (offers them a slice each. six hands reach in and then…..)
Guests: (talking with mouths full of vegan blueberry cheesecake!) Oh My God!
Me: (looking a bit confused – happy on the one hand the cake was so well liked and sad on the other that now I have no cake left!) Well, yes, I’ve never really eaten vegan cakes before, but let me tell you, this is going to be a new beginning for me! No more cream. No more dairy, no more eggs!
Guests: Are you gonna give us the recipe?
Me: No, you gotta buy one! This is Gunter’s life! He’s been creating this recipe book for years! I mean, he’s really perfected vegan cake recipes! You’ve got to buy a book and support him.
Guests: Where do we get the book from?

And that’s when it struck me….. crumbs…. “Gunter” I yelled…..
